I am excited to announce that the University of Toronto Academic Trivia Club will be hosting TSN, the Eastern Canada mirror of ESPN (see viewtopic.php?t=26981), on Saturday, March 9. The tournament will likely take place at Sidney Smith Hall (to be confirmed). We will start at 9 AM. I, Albert Li, will be the tournament director. Eligibility
TSN will be an open tournament: anyone in good standing with the community can play.

Teams must email uoftquizbowl [AT] gmail [DOT] com (CC’ing [email protected]) to be officially registered.

The field cap is 8 teams, after which teams will be placed on a waitlist. The registration deadline is Tuesday, March 5 at 11:59 PM Eastern.

Fees
Base fee: $140 per attending team
Shorthanded discount (team of 1 to 2 players): -$70
Staffer discount: -$20 per experienced moderator with laptop
Distance discount: -$10 if most of your team has to travel more than 200 miles one way, according to Google Maps

All fees are in CAD.

Payment can be made to the University of Toronto Academic Trivia Club by e-transferring uoftquizbowl [AT] gmail [DOT] com. Please include "TSN" in your e-transfer message. If you are unable to e-transfer, please contact skylimail42 [AT] gmail [DOT] com for alternatives.

Rules
Standard ACF rules apply, except that we will be playing full 22/22 paсks.

Conduct & Mask Policy
All teams will be required to agree to adhere to ACF’s ethics and conduct rules as well as our honour pledge. Discriminatory or threatening language or actions will not be tolerated. This includes (but is not limited to) discrimination based on sex, gender identity, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. Those that display such behaviour will be removed from the tournament. Additionally, masks will be required for participants of this event with the exception of eating, drinking, and reading a game. We will have masks available on-site for those that need them. Please stay home if you feel unwell, have symptoms, or any other reason to suspect you may have COVID or other infectious illnesses.
