2024 ACF Fall Editor Application

ACF is now accepting applications for subject editors for 2024 ACF Fall, head edited by Alexandra Hardwick (tournament date TBC, mid-October). We are moving the Fall and Winter production timeline earlier this year. Regionals applications will open in the early summer.

Successful applicants should expect to begin work on the tournament in April, and continue the process steadily throughout the summer. Our projected timeline is to have 50% of the tournament written by the end of June, and reach 100% at the start of September.

ACF aims to assemble teams of enthusiastic editors with a diverse set of backgrounds, and highly encourages all those interested to apply. ACF also encourages you to share this application with anyone you believe is qualified. We aim to build an editing team with a mixture of highly experienced editors and talented writers who are looking to gain their first editing experience; ACF Fall is an excellent way into editing for the first time, so don't feel shy about applying, even if you've only worked on one or two sets before!

Applications require:

- a brief description of writing experience
- an indication of category preferences
- at least five sample questions (at least four of which must be original for this submission)
- an explanation of your writing process for one tossup and one bonus
- at least one reference

ACF may reach out to candidates who apply to one tournament if ACF deems they are a better fit for a different tournament's editing team; however, to guarantee you will be considered for a given tournament's editing team, you must fill out that tournament's application.
