IQBT Novice/British Novice at RIT (4/13)

I am pleased to announce a mirror of IQBT Novice (an Americanized version of British Novice) taking place at RIT on April 13, 2024. We will likely be meeting in the Eastman Building at 8:40 am to start the tournament at 9:00 am. Parking on campus is free on weekends, and D and E lots are both close to the Eastman building.

Set Information
This tournament will run on IQBT Novice, an Americanized version of British Novice. This is an easy (one dot) difficulty set. Details about the set can be found here and here.

Fees
Base fee: $100 per team
Buzzer discount: -$10 per working buzzer set
Staff discount: -$15 per capable staffer
New school discount: -$30 if your school has not played a college tournament between September 1, 2021 and September 1, 2023
Minimum fee: $60 per team

Eligibility
A player is NOT eligible to play this tournament if they have met ANY of the following criteria:
  • Scored more than 60 PPG in the prelims of a college tournament
  • Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 15% of the field, rounded up, at a non-novice college tournament
  • Scored more than 60 PP20TUH in the prelims of HSNCT or 60 PPG in the prelims of PACE NSC
  • Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 30 at HSNCT or top 10 at PACE NSC
  • Finished in the top 12 in IPNCT
  • Scored more than 20 PPG in the prelims of ACF Nationals
