The opening meeting will begin at 9:45 AM Eastern and gameplay will begin at 10:00 AM Eastern. Fred Morlan will be the tournament director.
IQBT Novice is an easy (one dot) difficulty set.

Base Fee: $110
Staff Discount: -$75 approved staffer (should be able to solo staff a room effectively)
Shorthanded (1-2 players) Discount: -$40
New team discount: -$50
Minimum Entry Fee: $35
Staffers not affiliated with a team will be paid $75 for their time.
The field will be initially be capped at 10 teams.
Rules
This tournament will use ACF’s gameplay rules with their addendum for the inclusion of powermarks.
Eligibility
Any player that has previously met at least one of these criteria are ineligible to compete at a IQBT College Quiz Bowl Novice site.
- Scored more than 60 PPG in the prelims of a college tournament
- Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 15% of the field, rounded up, at a non-novice college tournament
- Scored more than 60 PP20TUH in the prelims of HSNCT or 60 PPG in the prelims of PACE NSC
- Were the top scorer (highest overall PPG) on a team that finished in the top 30 at HSNCT or top 10 at PACE NSC
- Finished in the top 12 in IPNCT
- Scored more than 20 PPG in the prelims of ACF Nationals
