2024 Penn Bowl at Case Western Reserve (11/2/24)

Hello everyone,

Case Western Reserve University's quizbowl team is excited to announce that we will be hosting the Great Lakes mirror of 2024 Penn Bowl on November 2nd, 2024! I, Elie Aoun, will be the TD.

Logistics:
The tournament will be held in Sears Building. There is paid parking nearby at the Veale Parking Garage or free parking further away on the side of Bellflower Road, Juniper Road, or East Boulevard. The opening meeting will begin at 8:45 a.m., and gameplay will begin at 9 a.m.

Rules:
This tournament will follow ACF’s official gameplay rules.

Registration:

The initial field cap is 8, after which teams will be placed on a waitlist unless we are able to secure enough buzzers and staffers to expand the field.

Fees:
Registration fee: $120 per team
Buzzers: -$5 for each functional buzzer set with at least 8 buzzers
Staffers: -$15 for each staffer with a functioning laptop who is capable of reading or scorekeeping at a rate of 45 minutes per round
Travel discount: -$10 (more than 200 miles one way according to Google Maps)
Shorthand discount (1-2 players): -$40

Payment:
Payment can be made via a check made out to "CWRU Quizbowl" and brought to the tournament or mailed to 11038 Bellflower Rd, Suite 148, Cleveland, OH 44106. Payment can also be made with cash brought to the tournament.
