The tournament is open only to novice players, so here are the eligibility rules:
- Upperclassmen (HS juniors and seniors as of June 17, 2022) are not allowed to compete.
- People who have played in more than 3 regular season quizbowl tournaments, HS and MS alike, are not allowed to compete.
- Anyone who made it to HSNCT or MSNCT playoffs is not allowed to compete.
- Anyone who has netted 25 ppg or higher in a regular season tournament is not allowed to compete.
UPDATE: Upperclassmen (Grades 11 and 12) are now allowed to compete, so long as they fill the other requirements.
