Penn Bowl 2024 Online Open Mirror (1/25/2025)

Hey all,

We thank you for waiting, and are excited to announce the Penn Bowl 2024 (Penn Bowl XXXII) online overflow open mirror, held on January 25th, 2025, head edited by Noah Sheidlower, with other various affiliated editors. This will be run over discord.

This is tournament is open to all "open" players (unaffiliated), as well as students affiliated with any school or institution that did NOT attend an in person regional mirror.

FEES/PAYMENT METHOD (Borrowed/Edited from Cody Voight)

For the online mirror, the fee to participate will be $80 per team, with a $15 discount per approved moderator.

We can accept cash, personal checks, or checks from school, school district, or quizbowl club funds. We have no ability to process purchase orders or credit cards, but we will accept Paypal and Venmo. Bringing forms of payment outside of the three listed will be considered nonpayment. We expect payment to be made by the date of the tournament, with late payments subject to a $25 late penalty (if payment is made through mail, as long as the payment is SENT before the tournament date, it will not be considered late, e.g. a mailed check that arrives after the date, but was sent before will be accepted with no penalty).

If teams are having issues/struggling with payment via the above methods on time, please let us know beforehand, and we are willing to be somewhat flexible with the late penalty IF we are informed of the problems beforehand.

All checks must be made out to either "Anirudh Bharadwaj" or "Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania". If a check is not made out to neither "Anirudh Bharadwaj" nor "Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania," we cannot accept this. If you address your checks to "Penn Quizbowl", we will not be able to accept them, and may become subject to the $25 late penalty. If you require a pre-tournament invoice or W9 in order to have a check cut, let us know early enough for your school to process the payment. We can generally send you an invoice the same day.
